    Turned a bowl Friday night

    and three more Saturday. Kiln dried hard maple, plain grained but nice shapes. These are going to Japan. And my daughter told me tonight that she wants some to take for gifts to her Japanese host families.

    In need of a couple 1" disks turned

    I need a 1" thick disk turned that is 7 7/8" inch in diameter. Would like it in oak or some other kind of hard wood. The second one I need is 1" by 7 3/4" in a hard wood. If some one close to Charlotte can help me out please let me know. Thanks!

    Finally a green turned bowl I am proud of

    Well This is what I call my first real sucess on the lathe with a green bowl blank. I got this lovely hunk of tree at the picnic, I got mi Ci0 and Ci1 in the mail monday. So its Wensday and here is the end result. It has a few problems but I am happy with it anyway. Thanks For looking. Mark

    If I turn green wood to finished size what should I seal it with on the inside and outside? I plan to turn some and let them dry slow but I will also turn some "ART" as daveo is fond of saying. Thanks Mark
