Good Morning!
I hope everyone had enough turkey yesterday. I know I did and slept it off in the recliner last night. But that's not my reason for this posting.
I'm learning to scroll saw, or is it scrollsaw, and have a question about something I need/want to get under control.
I buy...

I built this over the weekend and its probably the most usefull jig I could have made for my TS. I was using an incra miter gauge but switch angles on it and getting back to 90 deg cuts is a pain. I like...

OK, this probably isn't a big deal to most of you ... but I'm new to this so leave me alone :gar-Bi
Made my first cut with my new table saw last night. And I started off right. 57-degree bevel rip cut on two boards to form the top of a bookcase. Between my protractor and my INCRA fence, it went...

Looking to make some kitchen cabinets - wifey wants pine of all things, country look, saw a picture in a magazine . I'm looking for a source for 3/4" pine rift cut plywood so I can start figuring how much this project is going to cost me. Not the warped flat cut junk they sell at the BORG...
Ok, so I have a design I'd like to build and I have a list of all the parts (8 of these at this size, 14 of those, yadda yadda). The problem is I now have to figure out how to most efficiently get those pieces out of the stock so I know how much to buy and in what lengths/widths....
Ya'll have...
Hi guys,
I'm wanting to buy some rough cut oak to re-deck my trailer. Obviously doesn't need to be of furniture grade since it's only for a trailer.
I'll need 8" or 12" wide boards (or something I can make 8") as the deck is 96" wide.
I'll either need:
Twelve 18' and eight 10' boards
OR...
When I hear the term "slab" used in regard to wood, I picture a section of trunk of whatever length, that has been sawn to whatever thickness and the wane and ends are often left however they happen to be.
Like this:
However, is 'slab" also a correct term for a cross-cut section of...
I cut this monster down with 026 with a 18" bar. I used my saw with a 20" bar to cut the lead and some big limbs off and when I went to crank it again gas had leaked all over the place and it would not crank so I was left with the small saw to take this big old tree down. Luckly a friend was...
I finally had the time to cut some logs to be sawn for my shop floor. I ended up felling an old pine on my property. It was about 65 years old with a 25" diameter at the butt.I also cut a few cherries and an old birch that is not native but has been growing for quite awhile. I was going to cut a...
Can someone give me a link for safely cutting the miter cuts for large legs on the tablesaw? I am looking for the 45 degree cut. I have made this cut twice in the past but time has gone by and I just need a little confidence that I am doing it safely. thanks
I want to cut some 18-20 ga 304 SS sheet into pieces for a wwking project.
Is this a good idea using a "normal" 10-14 tpi bimetal metal-cutting Lenox blade ? This will be on my upright metal-cutting Delta BS, so the speed is no problem. But I'm wondering if I'm going to e.g. shear all the...
