    Sanding between coats of poly?

    In the past I have used steel wool 000 for sanding between coats of oil based poly. But if I am to use water based poly sould I still use steel wool? Also if I have wet dry sandpaper 6000 grit, coult that be used between coats or is that to fine a grit?

    I was using my 5" ROS to finish a large box last night and had the thought that a smaller box would be almost impossible to sand this way. I had read of using an inverted 1/4 sheet ROS finish sander, seems like a good idea. :dontknow: Just curious how some of you do it???
