    Single Leg attachment suggestions

I'm making a couple of fairly simple portable tables from some free plans that I'm going to enlarge and think I need to deviate from their suggested mounting hardware and am not sure what I should use. The top is just a 3/4x11 3/4x19 1/2 ERC plank that will have some holes and slots to hold...

Bed leg design and construction help needed

This question came about on my previous post on the "wood" forum regarding 16/4 walnut but I figured that I would put it here for more traffic. I am going to build a bed out of walnut and the legs are 3" x 3" with a slight taper on the inside of an otherwise square leg. Something like this...

    Splayed leg table

After spending a couple of fun-filled months in the shop making these I needed something to fill my time and mollify the need to actually build something. So, after a lot of deliberation, and making a prototype from old pine studs, I created this: There will be ample room on the table...

    cabriole leg ??

I am just before starting my first cabriole legs. They will go on a small display table, approx. 26"x14". Everything is cut out except for the legs. I have made, cut out, and sanded the pattern to the shape I like. Everything I've read about cabriole legs says to start with square stock and...

    Cabriolet Leg Question

I have a small table that I'm planning to build and I'm trying to work out some design ideas in my head. I would like to use cabriolet legs on the front and was wondering if you guys use solid stock for that style or do you laminate smaller stock?

    New Leg

It was easier to replace the entire leg than to replace the missing foot. A circular saw was used to cut a groove on the face of the old leg, and a chisel to remove it. The old glue joints were easy to break apart.
