    Can I shim out a table saw blade?

    I have a new General 650 table saw. I would like to use a thin kerf blade, but i can't adjust the splitter in enough to be flush with the narrower blade. Is it possible to shim out a thin kerf blade to keep it flush with the splitter? Anyone know where to get big enough shims? Thanks,
