There Has To Be Something Wrong!

How can this place sell Euro/Designer pens, segmented, for $4.00 and include laser engraving???? (Bottom of page) The kits cost almost that price. http://www.wplaser.com/Wood_Pens.html?gclid=CNDF0LjX-poCFRUhnAodd0wfdg :kamahlitu

    [Problem-Main Site] Is something wrong?

Is there something wrong with the site? It is taking over 30 secs for the site to load and when I surf through to the forums it also takes an inordinately long time. I'm not having problems with any other websites. Thanks, Dan C.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong!!

So being a new woodworker I don't know exactly how to use all the power tools and my new jointer is one of them apparently. I was running some wood through it today and yesterday trying to figure out how to use it and just to get to know it and ever time when I get to the end of the piece it...

What is wrong with me? Jeff.....

Went to Woodcraft today and spent way too much money on needed things. Pen kits, pen blanks, dust collection stuff, zci for the table saw, etc. etc. Stopped by the orange borg on the way home and had one of the Ridgid Oscillating Spindle sanders in my arms carrying it to the register and then...

    Boy! Was I wrong!

about the height of my workbench. I built a work bench last year and after much perusal on the Internet, etc, decided to go with the recommendation of "the height of your wrist when hanging loosely at your side" (for me that came to 32") As some may know, I am on the quest to become...

Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

At the picnic there was a gentleman(Woodart perhaps?) that had a back slat with him for a rocker. Beautifull wood! As I recall, it was sycamore, but, on another site, a guy said that sycamore was pretty much useless for furniture. Is my recolllection incorrect?

Anyone notice the TWA dates are wrong?

The TWA announcement at the top of the page states the TWA meeting is the 17th. The meeting on their page is the 18th with the workshops on the 19th and 20th. Just an observation.

Wood storage, milling, where did I go wrong?

Last weekend I was building a simple panel cutting sled and grabbed a piece of 5" wide 4/4 scrap poplar to use as a fence. Yeah, I know poplar is not the best choice but it's what I had. I proceeded to face joint, plan to thickness, edge joint and then rip to size. Final dimensions = 31"...

Boy am I on a roll, the wrong kind

If they give an award for the biggest idiot of the first quarter of 2008 I have already won it and it is just the middle of March. And now my latest screw up. I can not say for sure just how many drawers I have made with the Leigh D4 but is a bunch. Please let me say in self defense it has...

    Where did I go wrong?

So after many months of sitting in the garage, I finally decided to put the finish on my cherry occasional table I made in a Woodcraft class. I sanded the table starting at a 120 grit, moving to 150, and then 220. I applied 5 coats of Danish Oil with about 30 minutes in between each coat, per...

Is there something wrong with my PC router, check out pic...

I was cutting a lot of dove tails and at the end of the job I noticed the bit looked charred and the collet appeared burnt. This is the first time that I have ran a router a lot and wanted to know if this was normal. I cut 16, 8" drawers with 1" tails. I was cooking along well and let the bit...

HF Moisture Meter Question: Is it broken or am I doing something wrong?

I'm on my second one of these and this one is doing the same thing. I do not get a reading on green or dry wood, high or low scale. If I touch both tines to my skin it reads but nada in wood. Nothing about this in the instruction sheet. I've tried really pushing it in to the wood but I'm afraid...
