This is an event NCWW should support and hard. Sorry I am not a TWA member any more since moving so this event was not on my radar.

Friends,
A cursed friend has visited my wife for the second time in her life….breast CA. I’m not a particularly spiritual person but I find myself asking our creator to lay a healing hand on her today. I ask you to join in this request in whatever your chosen manner.
My shop has grown quiet...
I've got a Trend Air Shield Pro and managed to break the plastic headband.:embaresse In looking for a replacement I first tried Google and found one for about $40. Since I did not know the selling company, I searched for, and found, the Trend web site. Although they offered several...
When I put the riser block on Mike Davis/Roberts Saw, it came with a conversion kit that fit it for a Jet Saw, except the Guide support on a Jet Saw is round with groove to keep it from spinning. The Guide for this saw is Hexagonal.... similiar to the old Craftsman saws.
no problem for me 1/2...
I know it's a bit of a strange question but here goes... Trying to sell my house and working through the list left by the home inspector.
It's built on a crawl space and the floor joists rest on cement block piers topped with pressure treated lumber and finally a sheet of OSB/Plywood as a...
I've started to organize my shop.
This might sound like a retread of past threads, but hey, when its happening to me, that makes it new and interesting to everyone! Right? Er. anyone?
My shop has been mostly inaccessible for way too long. Any kind of work I wanted to do had to be done...
Would forms be helpful for the upcoming elections?

Chad and I both have more form experience than might be considered rational :-)

Nothing Sappy; Nothing over the line, just a very heart felt sincere thank you to my online and personal friends that have supported my family and I during the Death of our Mother. This community is what friends are made of. Still gonna be a long road, but our friends here have made the...
I attempted to upload a video to the site, but it was rejected as an unrecognized format - it is .mp4 (using the H.264 codec, I think). This is becoming one of the most widely used formats. Have y'all updated the vBadvanced software lately? Any idea when you might start supporting this format on...
I have taught a young man how to turn pens and bottle stoppers and in turn learned myself. He lives in Wilmington and his parents will buy him the little Harbor Freight lathe for Xmas to turn pens etc. I would like to know if there are any clubs or such in Wilmington. Here at Smith Mountain...
I renewed the VBulletin license today which makes it good until 8-19-2010. This is for support and members area access as we own the license. Travis, I sent you a copy of the CC receipt via your email.
My deck needs some major attention ... a good pressure washing, some new paint and sanding/finishing the top to name a few. But one of the to-do items is to make the railing studier. Right now the railing is a little wobbly. I didn't build the deck, it was here when I bought the house, so I...
My wife's family has a beach house. Recently, I went down to replace some well worn deck railing. Since I don't go down very often I took a good look at the deck to see what else had to be done. I was surprised that the joists spanning the 14' length were 2X8s. My recollection of codes is...
I don't know if it's proper to post a thread from another woodworkers forum like this but I thought this one is for a very worthwhile project and wanted to make all of you aware of it. Mods, please delete it if I'm doing anything wrong here. This link is about an organization in Dallas TX, that...
Cathy Skipper and I have discussed this program since it was posted here. We know some folks have made and sent ornaments already. For those who want to contribute we have an idea to make it easier for you. Cathy and I will be collecting wooden ornaments at the Fall Gathering. You can make one...
