Cutting and sanding large masonite boards?

Hi all, I've been struggling to figure out how to cut some 4'x4' masonite panels to smaller sizes and sand the edges down so that they can be primed and used as painting canvases (up to 12"x12" and as small as 3"x3"). I've been using a standard table saw and hand sander, but it takes forever...

    Large wood GLOAT!!!

I have been looking at some very large silver maple trees in a yard for years, thinking it would be great to get some of the wood if they ever cut them down. While driving to work today I almost wrecked when I saw that they had been cut and the very very large butt cuts where laying where the...

Cut down a large maple today!

I cut this monster down with 026 with a 18" bar. I used my saw with a 20" bar to cut the lead and some big limbs off and when I went to crank it again gas had leaked all over the place and it would not crank so I was left with the small saw to take this big old tree down. Luckly a friend was...

    Large slabs

Seeing Kyle Edwards avatar with that large slab reminded me of a place in Fletcher, NC that sells large slabs, burls, hardwood flooring, plywood and other stuff as well. I believe he buys overstocks, overruns and probably imports a lot of it. He's a wheeler/dealer and just has a warehouse full...

We had a large tree removed. We live in the City of Charlotte and paid a fortue to have this tree removed. There is no market in Charlotte for 7.5 ton 6 foot sections of Willow Oak. No one wants to deal with the weight and worry about what fence, nails, cloths line pulley, etc... have grown...

HF from the large oak burl

Here is the HF I turned from the same oak burl as the two nested sets. This burl has amazing pin burl grain in it. It is just over 8" in dia. by 7" tall. It is the first bark edge HF for me. I still have two large bowls drying that I cored off the bottom of the two nested sets so in all I got 14...
