Access to a Wide belt sander in Raleigh??

A friend in Raleigh needs access to a wide belt sander - maybe 30-36" capacity. He has a natural edge slab he is making into a coffee table and wants it flattened. I have not seen this piece, but I imagine that most of the slab is end grain. Is anyone aware of shops in the Triangle area that...

Performax 22-44 conveyor belt

Anyone know who has the best price on a replacement conveyor belt for a 22-44? Mine is on it's last leg and needs replacing soooon. Mike

Belt sander glee....

I just put a graphite "platen" on my old old portable belt sander. It runs so much better! Motor doesn't labor nearly as much when its running. I used the cloth backed graphite from Klingspor. GRAPHITE ROLL 3" X 1 #GR44890 Enjoy the power! Jim

Link belt whine

I put a link belt on my new jointer this afternoon and although it runs very smoothly (startup, shutdown), the noise level just about doubled. It has a high pitched whine when running. I loosened the belt some but the noise still remains. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong. I can...

Performax 22-44 conveyor belt

Anyone know where I could get a rubberized replacement conveyor belt for the performax? Might as well bite the bullet and get one rather than continually replace the regular type belts. Since I don't use it regularly, the belt has a tendency to take a set and with the problem of the seams...

Karate belt shelf
