Hi, let's start by saying I know nothing about woodworking but sure do love looking at what you all create!
I have an acre lot here in Raleigh (Swift Creek area) and a NCSU/USFS forester has been helping me taking down leaners and thin the woods. So I have a lot of "sticks", some logs (most...
Squaring stock is possible without these, but these should help a lot. So far I've made a 16" set and also a 12" set. I think I want to make a 26" set to finish it off, but I don't have a log that long to split down. Filmed a video making these. Click here for the video. As also any tips are...

Next on the list will be some nicely spalted poplar, plan is to cut similar sizes in widths up to 14"...
Wanted to make a Desk set for the Grandaughter, using some air fried locally milled Walnut. Not unhappy with it, but wish I could eliminate glue lines/marks. All in all, beautiful wood, limited skill.
This is a large (70x50) mirror with a 10 1/2" walnut frame- the frame is mitered at a bevel of 5 degrees and held together with domino tenons (and support on the back). It has several areas of crushed turquoise inlay as well.
