White Oak Burl Dish

Turned this dish out a thin Burl I got from a friend in Western New York.

It was extremly hard but really nice inside. Enlarge the first pic...it's worth it

That first pic, the wood almost glows, and I don't think it has anything to do wit a camera flash. Nicely :icon_thumdone.

The piece is about 14 '' by 12'' . I was really suprised on the figure . It was a really plain looking burl that wasn't over 3'' deep. The finish is several coats of wipe on satin poly that was hand rubbed pretty aggressivley(?) (didn't want to risk knocking off the bark )
