Pine Headboard

Here is a white pine headboard I made, then painted white, beat up and distressed and then wiped dark walnut finish on. All sealed with matte poly.

Euro Beech and Cherry Headboard

King-size headboard project

I finished this one a bit ago, but forgot to post a picture. I needed to freshen the paint job to match some new bedroom furniture - that the LOML BOUGHT :no:! I think she got tired of waiting for the other pieces to get to the top of my project list. So anyway, here's the headboard... Dan

WIP: Headboard

Although it seems that all I can do is make tables, this is proof that I will do other work when asked:gar-La;. A friend wanted this headboard built but unfortunately he just wanted it in pine. Oh well, he's the boss. More to follow.

Black Walnut Headboard

I used a lot of the Black Walnut I bought from Jeff, on the 1st lumber run, to make the headboard shown below. That sucker is big. I had fun working with curves, but I am glad it is finally done. Feedback is appreciated. (This was done using a Woodsmith plan). Doug

Joining a headboard.

Claro Headboard - Gettin' it flat

My first try at making a router sled to flatten the slab. It worked better than expected. I used a 1 1/2" bottom cleaning bit from MCLS (or MLCS, MSCL, whatever) and it did a great job. Very smooth cut with no tearout. I love that claro - think I'll have to make a trip to Kyle's to get a few...
