I used a lot of the Black Walnut I bought from Jeff, on the 1st lumber run, to make the headboard shown below. That sucker is big. I had fun working with curves, but I am glad it is finally done. Feedback is appreciated. (This was done using a Woodsmith plan).

The pictures don't do it justice. I remember seeing it in progress when I was over.

What kind of finish did you use on it?

Finish

I used General Finishes Polyacrylic Water Based Topcoat (Satin). I got it at Klingspor. The walnut was dark enough of it own, so this seemed just right to bring out the grain, protect it, and not overwhelm it. It also dries in2-4 hours a coat. I used 3 coats.
