    poor guy lost an eye to a... lawnmower?!?

    Swear to god: saw a patient today in the ER who lost his eyeball while mowing his lawn. An ordinary push mower threw a rock which bounced off the garage wall and hit him in the eye. Who wears safety glasses for mowing the lawn? I do now.

    Nice Day of Sawing.. Eye Candy

    Chris Brittain and I had a nice day of sawing.. yesterday was spalted Magnolia today was Curly, Burly Red Maple Slabs and Turning blanks.. Carolina Gold! Feast your (birds) eyes.. :D It was loaded with quilt, curl, birdseyes and lace.. crazy stuff.

    Zinsser Bulls Eye Spar Varnish...

    Not happy with it. The dry time is excessive. I am making some replacement thwarts for my Father's canoe. I bought the Zinsser product because it was a little cheaper. The can says a dry time of around 4 hours to re-coat, at the proper temperature range and humidity level. Well my shop is at 70º...
