Lobster Bouy Themed Beach Sign.
This is something I've been working on in between videos, seen one similar in a craft store and decided to make my own!
The Bouy profile was laser cut from cardboard to get a template and I then used my @rikon_powertools table saw and scroll saw to cut them to size and shape out of scrap 3/4 inch material.
I then made a quick right angle jig for my @craftsman drill press to drill holes in all the pieces.
After sanding everything smooth with @klingsporswoodworkingshop sandpaper, I then laser cut the letters for the word "BEACH" on my @longer.global Ray5 20 Watt Laser out of 1/4 inch material.
I then got a rope and some one inch wooden beads and we were ready to paint.
The letters were painted freehand and the bouys were spray painted. After they dried I gave everything several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss and when it was dry, I threaded everything through the rope and tied it off and, for a final touch. I frayed the ends of the rope to give it a used look.
A very fun side project that combined the use of alot of tools in the workshop!
