We've been discussing a group purchase of Anchor Seal Classic (the proven blend of end sealer used to treat green log ends / bowl blanks to reduce end checks) on another thread:

About a year or so ago, NCWW member Gary Conklin organized a similar event, and it was well attended, with many NCWW members taking advantage of the savings. We're going to follow up on what Gary started by hosting a sequel at my farm later this month.
As a way to support NCWW, the price per gallon will include a $1.00 donation to help support the operation of NCWW.
The way that this works is that you commit on this thread for X gallons, and based upon the sum total of that we place a bulk order and schedule a date for the event at my farm in New Hill, NC (about 30 miles SW of Raleigh). Typically we will conduct the event on either a Saturday or Sunday, whichever works best for everybody. Most likely, we will plan on either the weekend of March 26th, or April 2nd, with the exception of allowing Jeff Mills to pick up his order early so that he can take it with him on his trip.
Since we are buying in bulk, each NCWW member that participates is responsible for providing their own containers. We will use a drum pump to transfer it.
On the last run we purchased in 55 gallon drum quantities, which is a significant price savings over buying 5 gallon pails or smaller amounts at local retailers.
This morning, UC Coatings quoted me $310.75 for a 55 gallon drum of Anchorseal Classic - Summer Mix, plus $126.00 for freight. If we add $55.00 for a donation to NCWW, the total price for the drum is $491.75, or $8.95 per gallon.
They also informed me that the price will go up .25 per gallon next Monday, and based upon the recent fuel price increases I'm sure that the freight costs will be escalating as well. Therefore I will plan on placing an order this Friday, March 11 in order to obtain the best price.
Here is a breakdown of the folks that have already committed:

If you would like to participate, please respond to this thread with an quantity that you're interested in, and if Saturday March 26 and Saturday April 2nd are good dates for the event.
Thanks!
Scott
PS - if we exceed a total of 55 gallons, I will purchase multiple drums as needed.
