2nd Bowl Done. Me Too!

Here is the second bowl completed using the Ci1 & 2 tools. Turned out pretty good considering my turning ability. As I had mentioned, I don't think that turning is for me. I will most likely place my lathe in the classifieds for sale in the very near future. The lathe is a General (made in Canada) 16018-2, variable speed. I bought it new about a year ago and have used it twice. There is a picture of it in my gallery along with the rest of my tools.:BangHead:

Dino, you say turning is not for you but that is one nice looking bowl. It appears you do have the talent needed but maybe you just don't enjoy it.

Dino, are you crazy :bduh::bduh: That is a very fine bowl and you obviously have the aptitude for turning. What is it that you don't like about it?? Personally I find it fun and relaxing but also exciting at times. I really like the quickness that something can be produced and the usefulness of what it can produce.
But if you want that horrible lathe out of your shop, I would be happy to do the dead for you...to spare you any more misery

Dino, that bowl looks great, just like the last one. I wouldn't give it up, maybe just do what you feel like doing and perhaps you may come back to it at some point. You definitely have a knack for it. :icon_thum

Even flat work needs something turned once in a while ... I think I'd keep the lathe around -- but that's just me!
