anyone with experience spraying a dye?

how difficult is it to spray a wb poly (general finishes) with a dye added? i've sprayed the wb before without the dye and had good results. i'm still somewhat new to spraying so my confidence is shaky- especially when it comes to adding a color. i had to go with the dye in order to match...

Dye on Hard Maple

Topcoating dye or stain...

OK, I've read every book and asked a million questions and I still can't find a method that doesn't lift stain or dye when I topcoat. I've started using transtint dyes and I love them but I still lift spots when trying to top with just about everything. Had the same problem with stain as well...

Aniline Dye Question...

I've been doing some stain research and it appears that dyes work real well with small pored woods like Maple. My question is if they work so well with hard to stain woods, why not use them all the time? Are there any cons to using dyes to stain as opposed to more traditional stains? Thanks.
