WIP Elevated top table with curved tapered legs

Attached are photos from the dry fit of my latest project. The table is made of walnut. The top is 15 1/2 " x 35" single board elevated 1/2" above the legs and 1/4" from the rails. The legs are tapered in both directions with a slight curve. This was my dry fit which seems to work well. I plan to finish with a coat of sanding sealer followed by three coate of Waterlox original. I will post photos of the finished piece and use a real camera instead of my cell phone.

Your cell phone photo makes it look more like purpleheart than walnut!

This was just a dry fit. I plan to glue up over the next few days and start applying finish over the weekend. I have drilled the pilot holes in the supports for the top but have not attached it. I intend to use the approach Bobby G suggested, two holes, slightly oversized to allow for movement and screws into the top.

I will post photos and details of the finished table. I will try to use a good camera as the cell phone takes poor photos.

I have a dilemma, I have someone interested in purchasing the table. However, my wife has not seen it and I know she will want to keep it. Not sure what to do. I have enough lumber to build another one. I generally number everything I build and usually no two are alike as I use the Norm approach, improve on the original design. In general I try to keep the first just for sentimental reasons but the prospective buyer likes the figure on the top of this one. I have not surfaced the remaining material and I am not sure if the other section of the board has the same figure as this piece has some crotch figure at one end.
