I purchased the Practical Technologies Multi-Purpose Base Plate & Circle Router Jig System, Fence ( http://www.practical-technologies.com/id15.html ) a couple of years ago. I have used it several times to route holes and have used it a few times with the fence. As stated on their web site it is very easy to set up and use. :icon_thum

I leave the base plate attached to my Dewalt 618 plunge router base and when I need to cut a hole I just slide in the metal bar in the base plate, using a caliper I set the bar for the radius of the hole I need to cut, snug the set screws, drill a 3/16" hole in the center of the hole in the wood, set the pin in the hole and I am ready to go.

Don't forget to secure the wood where the hole will be cut out so it does not move when the hole is completely cut out. When needed, the fence is attached to the bar with one screw.
