No, I never got around to sharpening the dowel.:crybaby2: But since FIL has been chopping wood for 70 years I think he can handle it :lol:

Some of the questions regarding "butterfly habitat" were pursued in an earlier thread. To quote myself :oops:

I know it's tough being in the South, we're pretty strange. We make planters out of old tires, paint rocks white, and hang aluminum plates in trees :mrgreen:

And yes, they weather to a beautiful gray. This one my dad made 10+ years ago.
