Some of you may have heard the story about the wood used in my daughters' Barbie House Dresser. My in-laws had an old pecan tree in their backyard that was uprooted in one of the hurricanes. My wife and her brother played under this tree as kids. I was very excited to use that wood in something for the girls.
Well, I decided that it shouldn't stop there. I asked my friend Dwayne Brunmeier if he would turn a few pens out of some of the pecan I had left over from the dresser project. Boy, did he come through. I think my wife and in-laws will be very happy to receive one of these:
