Pattern Makers Vise

Anyone have this $200 pattern makers vise? I'd like some thoughts on the quality. At that price it's MUCH cheaper than similar clones (which are upwards of $600 - $800). I came across it in a Popular Woodworking August 2002 issue and it caught my eye. Same price today as it was back then...

Workbench vice

I just purchasd a workbench vice from the big box and it didn't come with in directions as to how it is to be installed. Help please. I don't have a picture to show, you know I have trouble with pics. It has the large metal knob on the front and three screws coming out the back. I think it...

Baskerville, VA to Raleigh area and/or vice versa

If anyone is making a trip to/from the Baskerville VA area from/to the Raleigh area, Glennbear and I are looking to send some stuff in both directions (it's a swap). It's a light load: VA to Raleigh is some electrical cord. Raleigh to VA is some lumber..it will fit in the backseat of a car...

cross vice for mortising

Hi all. Well I thought this was pretty slick and figured I'd share it with you all. I'm in the process of making a small table for the living room. I was at the point of making the test cuts for the mortises. I'm using the delta mortising kit for a drill press and I'm not a huge fan of the fence...
