    The main riser components are laid out. Next step is to trim about 18" off of the bottom of one piece and weld it to the other.

    This is a flange that I made and welded up to the blower inlet. Since the blower inlet is cast iron, the welding involved a lot of pre-heating, short beads, and then stress relieving.

    This is the closest that I could come to closing off the discharge on the blower while it was running!
