Nicholson Rasps

Received my MADE IN USA Nicholson #49 and #50 rasps a few weeks ago. I am VERY happy with them! Some time ago production of the rasps moved from the US to Brazil and the quality suffered. Get the whole story here...

Auriou Rasps

Files and rasps

I'm mainly a power tool guy, but that's largely to save money. Yup, contrary to what I thought originally, good hand tools are expensive. But, for small detailed finishing work, power tools are pretty much useless. I've slowly been building up my collection - pull saws, block planes, scrapers...

Handles for Nicholson Rasps

I just received my Nicholson #49 & #50 rasps from Jamestown Distributors. I also ordered wooden handles with metal ferrules for each rasp. This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you properly install the handle onto the tang of the rasp? Do you drive the rasp in with a plastic...
