New member from TN

Hi,
I am Gary Hayes, and love to do all kinds of woodworking. I am from Californis and moved to the Nashville area about 7 yrs ago. I and my wife both retired from IBM in San Jose.

I have been working with wood for at least 40 yrs. I have a pretty complete workshop at this time. But alot of my time is being spent on a new lathe (Nova DVR XP)

I am enjoy the Nashville area and all that the SE has to offer....

The ncwoodworker site looks really great, with alot of interesting things to read and talk about.

I am sure that I will be talking to everyone at some later date.....

Welcome Gary, I am glad that you found us. I lived for several years in Nashville, my parents still reside just outside in Old Hickory, and I am a proud grad of UT Knoxville. It's a great state, probably has the best State Park system that I have ever seen.
I look forward to your input in the forums, especially turning as it is something I dabble in, and hopefully seeing some pics of your turnings, an other woodworks.

I am a relatively new member to this site and cannot express enough how wonderful these members are. We lived in Santa Cruz for several years. Maybe we met you and yours at the beach??
I will be traveling thru TN next week, for the first time, on my way to Tulsa OK. I have been trying to find out some thing I MUST SEE when I stop over in Nashville. Any suggestions?
