Below is a list of folks whose names I remember. Please fill in the blanks for the ones I forgot or did not get a chance to meet.

Now YOU match the faces to the names :rolf:

I DON'T want to start an arguement, I just want to know what you honestly felt about the place since I didn't get to go. So to avoid any misunderstanding, can you guys just use a thumbs up rating? 1 thumb :icon_thum means it was just barely edible (assuming you finished your food) and 5 thumbs :icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum means it was good enough to recommend highly to a friend. (Someone you like :rolf:).

Looks like you all had a good time!

I'd give it :icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum

Roger - great pics! I'm glad you posted, I was beginning to think it never happened. That would mean I had a 2 hour blackout yesterday :)

The food I would give :icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum. Most of the dishes were :icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum:icon_thum, but there were a couple that were :icon_thum:icon_thum or even :icon_thum and I would give the variety a :icon_thum:icon_thum. I have eaten there a few times in the past because they are very kid friendly; lots of stuff for them to choose from (fries, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, etc) and they don't complain if they break a plate or two (DAMHIKT). :wsmile:

Great pics Roger, I think that you got all 20 folks correct and a lot of shots of the back of my head (my best feature).

I agree with Geoff. No complaints with food, but comraderie was outstanding.
Great get together, but the food wasn't anything to brag about. I find the Main Garden a couple blocks down the street to be better on the food side. The waitress kept trying to get one un-named person to pay the whole bill though. Next time we do a buffet, just get waitress to total up the whole bill, including drinks and then divide by the number present. Each person pays the same amount- simple and easy. If you weren't there, you should have seen the money changing hands to get the right amount for the bill. :rotflm:Waitress kept coming back and looking at the bill folder HA,HA! Oh yeah, Roger, I resemble that old white headed guy in the first photo.

Ok here's the deal. My wife doesn't like Chinese, so if we go somewhere, they have to have a buffet where she can get a few things that she will eat. We tried the 35 last night and when we walked in they informed us they only have a buffet at lunch. :cry_smile So we left. We ended up going to a place off of Six Forks (north of 440 almost to 540). Great Asia something or other. Looking for something a little closer to home. (And something I like a little better .. they had a lot of sushi and I'm not really into that). Does the Main Garden have a buffet?

Thanks guys and gals.

Will,

Crystal Palace is at the intersection of New Hope Church and Capitol, is a buffet only, and has other choices of food. IMHO, it's good, too. Try it!

Will, personally for a Chinese buffet I like a place that is at the insection of the Belt-line and New Bern Ave (outside the belt-line). I think it is called Hoh, but could be wrong. Very large selection buffet, Mongolian grill, sushi, and good soft-serve ice cream.

Main Garden has both buffet, and grill included in the price. They have an apple dessert, which when topped with ice cream, is worth the price of admission by its self. Remember that Buffet stands for "Big Ugly Fat Folks Eating Together." I know, as I resemble that remark.
