It now looks like I may be driving towards the Raleigh area, probably around Burlington (maybe the truckstop on Buckhorn Rd (Exit 157)
I will list more wood that I will have available and will have smaller quantities available. Please PM me with any wood that you may be interested in. I will also have some white oak, wormy maple, white pine, cherry, more poplar, some sapele, and basswood. I am liquidating a bunch of kiln dried lumber, due to space and financial needs. I may be willing to divide it up a little. Here is a list of what I have available...

I found a large bundle of 4/4 cypress, most of it is 10" wide and in 8' lengths - PM if interested!!!

4/4 Poplar in 61" lengths - $1.50 BF

5/4 White Pine - Furniture Grade in 61" lengths 200 BF... $400.00

I will adding more as I pick through what I want to sell. Thanks!

Re: Wood Sale - changed

dang your kinda far from me too, I started facing garage stuff with pine from Home Depot and now I kinda wanna keep the theme going when I make the cabinet doors. My parents are in Clemmons and thats not to far of a run for me to take when I visit them.

Does furniture grade still have knots in it? The supposedly good stuff at the Borg (stuff in the vertical bins) still has some pretty big knots sprinkled throughout. I had to go through 2 stacks of stuff just to find the 1 board with 1 side with no knots.

It still has tght knots in it, but beutiful wood and tight knots that are easy to work with. I would consider a run out your way or halfway if you both were interested in some. Thanks!

Re: Wood Sale - Lumber Run

Ok - here's the schedule right now - looks like 3 stops as of now...

Stop #1 Noon - Mocksville - Exit 170 truck stop... meeting Smitty - I will stay for approximately 20-30 minutes.

Stop #2 1:00 PM Greensboro - Exit 37 Home Depot on S. Elm Eugene St. Meeting Sgt. Snafu - quick stop unless other members plan on meeting here.

Stop #3 1:30-2:00 PM Mebane - Exit 157 truck stop (same one as the Santa Lumber Run) I will stay here for awhile, meeting several North Carolina Woodworker members. Planning to leave by 2:30 for home.

I hope these stops accomodate everyone. Please PM me with any more lumber requests. Thanks!

You mentioned checking up on the Sapelle. Did you happen to come across any 8"+ wide 8'+ long ones?

Thanks,
-Kevin

Alright gentleman - the run is upon us. I plan on bringing a little extra wormy maple (8/4, 4/4) and cypress. Otherwise the load is getting pretty large. Please get any other requests in today so i can finish loading. I am making two stops - first at Home Depot on S. Elm Eugene St, followed by the final stop at exit 157 Buckhorn Rd. I plan on arriving at Buckhorn by around 1 PM. I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

I will have room in my van to bring lumber back to my shop near Pittsboro if anyone can't make it that wants lumber. Just make you payment arrangements with Brian ahead of time.
