Laser Cut, Sea Turtle Welcome Sign

Sea Turtle, Laser Cut Welcome Sign.
Cut out on my @longer.global Ray5 20 Watt Laser Engraver.
The design is from @etsy and I imported the design into @lightburnsoftware and dialed in my settings.
All of this was laser cut with no engraving and I used a Speed Of 300, Power Of 88% and 1 Pass with Air Assist On.
The material was thin plywood from @buildersdiscountcenter
It took the laser around 25 minutes to completely cut out the highly detailed turtle (it was very fragile)
To support the fragile work, I took it over to the workbench and traced out a backer board with the washer technique on a piece 3/4 inch plywood.
This I cut out on my @deltamachinery scroll saw.
After sanding with @klingsporswoodworkingshop sandpaper, I spray painted the backer board a nice blue color and when it dried, I carefully glued the turtle in place with CA Glue.
For a finish I gave it several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss and after that dried, the project was complete!
A fun and highly detailed laser project!
