Melamine coated vs. Phenolic coated Plywood
Are these the same beast? Have you used one or the other and purchased it locally? Cost for 1/2" or 3/4" per 4' x 8' sheet? :dontknow: 1/4 sheet (2' x 4') of 1/2" thick phenolic is about $50. Ouch and yikes...- Jeff

Re-using painted or poly coated wood???
Hey Everyone, Due to the Move we are thinking of selling our Maple butcher block kitchen table. But I was wondering if I just cut the table up and used it for Bowl turning, I'd have a lot of maple. It's 1 1/4" thick x 2" wide and some of the boards are the full length of the table 4' 6"...- MrAudio815

Powder coated Bullet pens.
Made these this weekend. cozee from penturners.org gave some suggestion that made glueing and polishing alot better and easier. powder coated brass, #1 Leopardwood/ Gold #2 Bethlehem Olive Wood/ Copper #3 Ironwood/ Copper #4 Leopardwood/ Copper #5 African Blackwood/ Gold- jaustin

Phenolic coated plywood
I've seen several people use this for stuff like router table tops. Where would one acquire this stuff? I did find one place that has it - never heard of the company before but they seem pretty big (~150 stores all over the country).
