Hi everybody.
I am new to posting so please be patient with me.
i need some basswood.
the perfect wood would be:
3/4 thick
3.5 inches wide
atleast 6 inches long.
Now, after everyone finishes LOL, i can plane and cut as needed. i bought some from wall lumber and was dissappointed in...
Okay, I've been playing with carving again. I have several things carved in basswood. I used mineral oil for the spoons, even though I can't imagine they will ever come into contact with food. So they are now food safe, but kind of boring. I've got another piece that I am close to call...
I do most of my burnings on basswood and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the wood. Hard/soft, workability other than carving and burning, and where can I get large pieces and not just the pre-cut stuff from Michaels?
