Turning my first burl

Rosewood burl pen, wow, this stuff is hard, very hard. Had a blow out but was able to collect the pieces and glue them back in. Letting it dry now, hopefully I'll have a mechanical pencil out of it tomorrow.

rosewood is very hard!:gar-La; It's also hard on the lungs and sinuses. use your DC or a shop vac when you sand it.:icon_thum its also quite oily so you may want to wipe it down with DNA or thinner before finishing it. it polishes nice with micro mesh.:icon_thum

It's a good thing that burl has such wild grain. No one will ever know that you had to glue it back together.
I'm looking forward to the pics of the finished pen.

The glue set great, turned it down pretty nice, had a couple other voids I wanted to fill before sanding so those are filled with dust and thin CA. Letting that dry over night before I finish.
