Ordered a 3/8 and 5/8 U shaped bowl gouge from Thompson Tools this evening. Can't wait until they get here. The Ci tools are nice, but don't replace good quality gouges, IMO

Came home today and in my mail box.....two beautiful new Thompson Tools bowl gouges. I am amazed at how quickly they got here. Now I have to make handles.

Nate, I think I might order some of those one day. Please let us know how they cut and if they keep their edge longer than other cutting tools. All I've heard about the Thompson's cutting tools is good. Good luck and good turning.

I have about five of em Harold and I can say for a fact that they hold an edge longer than any other tools I have used.
