    Thompson Turning Tools vs. Others

    Hi everyone! What are some of your likes and dislikes of the Thompson turning tools vs. some of the other brands that you might own? I have some Sorby's and Penn Ind. and thought I might try a couple of Thompson's. Packard has their own brand( Sheffield Steele) that look good too. Thanks.:icon_scra

    Thompson Tools bowl gouge and grinding setup

    I bought my first bowl gouge last week and I finally got a chance to put a handle on it. It is a 1/2" Thompson V shaped bowl gouge. I don't have much experience with lathes or lathe tools so take all of this with a grain of salt or too. Shipping was great. It arrived before I expected it. And...

    Thompson Tools

    Ordered a 3/8 and 5/8 U shaped bowl gouge from Thompson Tools this evening. Can't wait until they get here. The Ci tools are nice, but don't replace good quality gouges, IMO
