Looking for a good taper jig for the TS - what's your experiences? Home made is better than store bought?

Thanks

I made one that rides in the miter slot of the TS and will go on either the right or left side of the blade. It has one long brace down the middle that moves to adjust the taper angle, and a hold down in the middle. I used to have one w/ a hinge at the end, like Norm always used. It was a PITA to adjust and I hated using it. This one is super easy to set up.

Gee, if we could post pics to albums I'd show you a pic of it. :gar-Bi

I built a taper sled, based on the plans from ShopNotes #33. It works very well, IMO. I use it for a lot of other things, too, like jointing short boards and cutting small parts. You can't tell from this picture, but it makes 4-sided tapers effortlessly.

Got a Rockler catalog? Look at how theirs is made. Very simple with almost no hardware.

+1. Just took a look at it, read some of the reviews, and watched the video. Pretty innovative jig for about $75 out of the box. :thumbs_up
