I'm working on a new bench, had to read all the hype out there and discard most of it as too much or too expensive for me.

i did spend some cash for a professional top from the Boardsmith. I just don't have the large tools or the time to build by hand.

im using a leg vise and on the tail will be a side type vise. May not be ideal but should be much better than what I have, relatively inexpensive, within my reach and hopefully still fairly portable.

Nice detail on the legs. Especially for a work bench. But then you have the hefty lathe to do such things - might as well do them.

I'm impressed.

WOAH, WOAH, WOAH - what is that thing with a cord?

I thought this would be a back saw then chisel router plane project by candlelight? :rotflm:

(LOOKING good! after you get practiced up...)

Nice joinery for the stretchers. You planning to peg them to the legs or would that be overkill.
