Wanted to say hello as I am new here. Name is Tommy Smith and I am pretty new to wood turning as I have only just turned my 7th bowl. I'm 57 YO and work for the state of NC and hope to retire in about 3-4 years so a new hobby was needed. I'm sure I'll learn from those of you already here and am looking forward to seeing whats possible on the lathe. See ya around..

I'll try, if these come thru they represent my 4th 5th and 6th bowl. (Purple Heart, then Cherry and Osage Orange) I am finding that this is fun and challenging but I don't have all the time I would like. Someone told me about turning green wood today, so I picked up a trio of walnut blanks to mess with. We will see, and thanks for the many replies.
If the pics are messed up somehow please let me know and maybe tell me how to post pics here. I am currently using Photobucket. The IMG code does not seem to work here.
