Hello everyone,
I finally have enough money in my pocket for a new wood lathe. I'm looking for a proper bowl lathe - one that can accommodate at least 10-12" diameter pieces. I'd prefer it be under $3000, but I'll spend more if its worth it. I also don't mind having to manually switch the belt speeds.
Does anyone have any brand / model suggestions? Also, are there any used shop machinery forums around where I might be able to find one used? Keep in mind that I've been turning with a Delta midi lathe for 6 years, so its not going to take much to impress me.
Thanks!
Seri (almost done with that PhD, too!)
