Laser Cut Snowflake Ornaments

Latest Amazing Project Off Of My @longer.global Ray5 5 Watt Laser Engraver.
5 Christmas Snowflake Ornaments!
Designed in @lightburnsoftware using a Steve Good Scroll Saw pattern, I laser cut 5 of the ornaments from 1/4 inch luan I picked up @buildersdiscountcenter
Each ornament took around 20 minutes to cut at a Speed of 300, Power of 95% and 5 Passes.
After all were done I stained them with @minwaxusa Golden Pecan stain and after that dried I gave them several coats of @rustoleum Clear Gloss for protection.
For a final touch I added a short hemp cord to all 5 ornaments.
A great simple project to get into the Christmas Season!

If youre just throwing the material away, You can double the number you make by creating another outside circle (and hanging feature) from the skeletons.

Not for me, but it is cool to have the laser because it can sign the back of my scroll saw work for me

There are lots and lots of patterns out there. Here’s a couple I did last year. The multi layered ones I gave away for kids to paint.

If you can get a 10W or better a 20 you’ll cut a lot faster. I do these on a Lasermaster 3 10w.

xtool S1 that was recently released. havent used it yet. I thought it would be a great idea to redo my entire shop so I could fit the laser better so im building 30+ cabinets now.
