how loud are lathes?

it's sounding pretty good. :mrgreen:

Unluckily for me I got called in to do alot of bug fixes over the weekend and was barely able to get to the Klingspor show for about an hour. I got to watch the lathe demo'd and it's definitely not loud at all.

Next month I'll start scouring craigslist for a good deal. Really wish I had the 600 free when Tom Hintz had that Jet forsale.

I am late to the party but not far from Holly Springs (across 1010 off Kildaire) and would be glad to share a little time also. I also often turn at night because it is usually quiet.
