My name is Doug and I have been a member on this site for a couple of months. By trade, I work in a collision shop and have been in the industry for 17 years. Working with metal comes natural to me. As far as hobbies go, I enjoy riding ATVs & dirt bikes. Now I am looking for a hobby that keeps me closer to home. I have 2 sons that are into sports, so having a hobby at home is more convenient. I have been doing odd jobs around the house (tiling, crown molding, built-in bookcase, wood fencing) and want to expand into fine woodworking. I am currently converting my basement into a wood shop and have acquired many pieces of equipment with the help of Scott Smith. I enjoy coming to this site to see members' projects and shops. I am building a red-oak work bench right now and I look forward to sharing some pictures with you soon.

Like many NCWW members, Doug is a man of many talents including mechanical work, metal and welding work, machining, and his landscaping work around his house is great too. He is an artist when it comes to body and paint work too.
