I want to thank all of you for the kind words .
I have been carving wood birds and fish for over 25 years.For the most part I am self taught with few exception .
I sell my carvings to buy stuff to make more carvings .
I am a power carver.
You might find a warren knife on my bench for clean up cuts but for the most part knifework isnt my cup of tea or fit my style of wood working .
I dont compete anymore done that have my fill of it .
I do commission work for fish and I carve duck decoy rigs mostly now .
I dont get many inquiries for quail grouse or other birds as I use to.
I am working on a DVD to show the process of carving and painting I use should have something in the spring .
I am also looking into setting up regular classes in bird and fish carving this spring as well .
Currently I am looking for a studio space to fit that need here in North Carolina.
