A few months back, jrs posted pictures and a link to the plans for a Japanese Garden Bench. Then sawduster posted his pictures as well. I loved the look and the simplicity of the design and had to give it a try. This one is made of cedar. I took my time, rounded over all of the edges and drilled and plugged all the holes. I'm quite pleased with the result and can't quite bring myself to leave it completely outside so it's going to sit in the screen porch. Thanks to jrs & sawduster for the inspiration.

Great job bro.:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap

Did you leave it "natural" or did you apply a finish/topcoat?

Brian.

Brian, I put on some 'waterseal' with UV protection. The color is pretty much unchanged.

Thanks to all for the nice comments. :gar-Bi

The bench loks great.

Good attentiaon to detail when plugging the holes - looks like you oriented the grain on the plugs. Softening the edges is a good touch too.
