First small table

Nicely done, Cato. the joints look tight, and the table is well-proportioned. Did you do this from a plan, or design as you went along?

Hey Tom,
I basically just measured the space where the table will fit beside a sofa on the screen porch and made the height the same as another small drink table across from it.

I see a lot of people do tapers on their table legs, but I was not brave enough to try that yet even though I do have one of those adjustable taper jigs. Also I was not sure how well the laminated legs would turn out. Baby steps

looks good! it's such a gratifying process isn't it! each project just builds confidence and hopefully skill. tapers are pretty easy to do, especially with a taper jig or a cutout in a piece of mdf. the main thing to keep in mind is that it's easier to cut the mortises and what not while the legs are all straight.
