So I took one of my rare vacation days Friday to watch the ACC tourney. Then spent the rest of the weekend glued to the set watching the Tar Heels bring another championship home.

Also snuck in some woodworking between games. Made the grooves thru grooves on both rails and stiles. Then I plugged the stiles with scrap.

I cleaned up the bottom cabinet door mortices with a Japanese mortice chisel. Then I trimmed the tenons with handplanes and a larger chisel. Here is the group: LN140, Stanley #93, Japanese chisel.

One rail down and three to go.

The back is split 1x4 furring strips. I used the bandsaw for this tedious operation. Now my shop is full of white powder. If I am careful when I put these in place, I can have a back of bookmatched pieces.
