Hey Everyone! In this fun CNC Video, I make a V Carved sign for my good friends at First Due Woodworks! Devin and his family are long time supporters of the channel and I finally got to meet them this past September on the Myrtle Beach Vacation and when I got back to the shop, I knew I had to make something for my friends, Hope you all like the video!

I do a similar process on my V carved signs. I use wide Blue painters tape as a mask, it works very well and handles fine details. The other thing that helps is many times, the paint will bleed into the wood fibers around the letters so I apply some sort of clear seal (lacquer or shellac) prior to painting the lettering. this sign of course, required no sealer, the field color , maroon was applied before machining. this one, unfortunately ended up in the trash, the lettering is vertically off center.

I agree with Chris on the "clear seal" prior to painting the lettering. I have used the technique many times.
