Cherry Burl Mushroom Box

Cherry burl mushroom box. From burl I harvested last winter. Stands 4" tall. Cap (lid) is 5-1/4" diameter. Finished in semi-gloss Arm-R-Seal.

Like it,that looks interesting.Not a turner but that had to be tough turning.

Thanks, Tony. It's not that difficult. As long as you're not too aggressive along the natural edge, everything (hopefully) stays together fairly well.

I did have a problem with the lid when I dechucked it once.... It fell on the floor, breaking some of the fairly thin edge. :BangHead: (This is THE problem with two-lever chucks I was talking about in a thread a month or two ago). Fortunately, since it's a natural edge, I sanded that edge a bit, and it still looks pretty good.
