UPDATE: Saw fixed
Problem-
Solution-
ground off the remains of the broken part
Drilled out a hole as close to the same center as I could
inserted a roll pin of the same diameter
stuck it back in the saw
works
Tension OFF
Tension ON
Tried to position the slot in the roll pin so it didn't interfere with the cam follower as it turned.
So far so good.
Put the saw back together after a thorough cleaning, installed the blade and tensioned it.
Simple straight cut in 4/4 poplar worked fine.
I did make a detailed dimensioned drawing in case this fails and I need to have one made
