#1 Common white oak

I have never really bought much #1 common but this looks like a good deal. Buy direct from the sawyer, 6-8ft, mostly 6inches or wider with a few 4-5inchers. At 90cents a ft even if you got 1/4-1/3 waste for knots still seems like a good deal, esp for shorter lengths needed for cabinets and such. Would have to drive to Tenn and would maybe be willing to split the load... So what do you guys think of #1 common and this deal in particular:

probably is ok wood as the guy seems like he knows what he is talking about regarding case hardening. This is a quote I like to remember:

Buying wood is like chicken, you pay one price for thighs, wings,legs and another for boneless, skinless breasts.

They are over near Jackson, so you have a lot of TN to cross if you are planning on picking up. If you are looking for that much lumber (2000 bd feet) you might try sending Kyle a PM and see what he can do.
