    Marking Medium for Wood

    Is there something better than chalk for marking pieces of wood? I have always used chalk, but it invariably seems to get wiped off during handling. I don't like pencil because it can impress the wood fibers and is hard to see on dark wood. I can't see using ink of any type. What about grease...

    I discovered this in my wife's sewing stuff years ago and thought I'd pass it along. Just roll on the lines of your pattern and it makes little indentations in the wood. I have put carbon paper under the pattern or just connect the dots. Joe
